I never missed an LTS[1] but this year it was really close. I’m glad I didn’t. It took some skill to convince my brother to drive 200km :). The drive there was nerve wreaking because of the poor quality of the road, tight turns and icy road. We arrived in the evening right in time for the Alumni session. I don’t think we’ve been so many ever. We talked from the heart about old times about the beginnings, challenges and advice. We definitely did our magic there. Afterwards all of us went to find a suitable place to try out the beautiful layer of snow that had just fallen down that evening and spent 3 good hours, riding downhill on plastic bags, banners or whatever we could get :).

Some thoughts
There’s always something exciting about life, something unpredictable happens, you experience new things, you see other people perform at their best and doing things you dream to achieve. I guess every one of us is following his dream, this is the way it’s supposed to be.
Story
For 2,5 days I’ve been with this people on a remote site, Rarau, in the mountains, more watching than taking part at the “Rarau Climbing Open”. Miruna convinced me to change my plans and I convinced Robert to change his :) It was more that we expected. Some of the sites there are breath-taking, nature at it’s best, sunny and hot, windy and cold, clear sky and overcast, clear and hazy.
These guys are some of the most ambitious, committed and crazy people I’ve met. Cata[1] got the 2nd prize :). You should have seen the look on his face when he got the prize and a generous amount of money. He didn’t knew what he was competing for … none of the guys knew :D, they just came for the race, the fun and passion for climbing.
