I’m trying to keep up but I’m in an extremely busy period … so bare with me.

Not so long ago I’ve been invited to a friend’s birthday (Daniel). I figured it will be a dull Sunday afternoon and therefore I managed to arrive late :). His father has built a house and an artificial lake with all kinds of fishes lurking inside a few km of Sibiu right near the E81 European road. If you don’t know what to look for you can easily drive by and never notice it. The lake is behind an earth wall protecting it from the constant noise just a hundred meters away.

When I made the first 20m off the main road I was getting mixed feelings about the place … i wasn’t going to stick around for long … what could I possibly do here in the middle of nowhere? After just 50 more meters my perspective changed when taking a steep left turn, the an incredible view unveiled itself in front of me. As you can see from the pictures bellow, the place is amazing, just like a small corner of paradise, in the most unlikely place a hundred meters of a busy road. After that last step, no noise was getting trough … peace of mind, quiet.

Hi dears,

1. Well Sunday morning, just before Rajiv woke up me and Pixi went to try out one of the Zwemmbad’s (Swimming pool) in Rotterdam. Wasn’t a bad idea at all. Of course this isn’t at all like the filth we have at home. Nice good lockers, automatic showers with just the right amount of hot water, nice clean pool and a lifeguard … that was very careful that none of us drowns … in Romania you could drown and lie down the pool for half a day before somebody notices you. Well we did do the thingie for 1,5 hours and then we were of course beat and barely got home EAT and got to bed for 3 hours. Remember we went to the swimming pool at 9:00.

Weird things:
As you see … I’ve restructured my postings :)

A weird thing was that people don’t go to the swimming pool to relax (it’s quite expensive – 3,18EUR/2 hours) they swim like on the highway. Extremely funny. There are 3 lanes: Super fast, Medium and Slow (of course we were on the fast lane) and all of them are full of people going in circles around the pool like cars (or ducks). I’m sorry I didn’t have my camera with me! The Lifeguard also acts like a traffic controller. If he notices you are to slow for the lane, he moves you to a slower lane. I laughed my ass of.
