It’s been 6 months now since Cristi died. I’m looking back, remembering all that’s been going on in the last six months. Life’s been moving on, new friends, new experiences, future becoming past… Some people tough, left deep marks in our hearts making it impossible to forget them. Cristi was one of them.
While we were hanging out sometime last month, Bebe talked about doing something to honor Cristi’s memory, an award for a special AIESEC Sibiu member, an idea that came to life a few days ago. Through this award we wanted to keep his memory alive and also help an AIESEC Sibiu member to make its first steps towards his development, to grow … To do for this member what Cristi has done for two generations.
He reached out again this, trough this award, to a new member. This year it happened to be Ovidiu, a very promising young man, with high hopes and nice dreams.
About Cristi
Cristi entered AIESEC Sibiu in November 2001. Due his spirit and initiative, he joined short afterwards the 2002-2003 EB as Marketing coordinator. His stubbornness helped to achieve alignment in AIESEC Sibiu materials and we got the first color promotional materials in the LC history. We got our very first web page and signed our first media partners. Cristi is one of the people responsible for “The most progressive LC” award received in 2004 at NPS, we were the small LC making big waves in the national network.
Besides his professional work, Cristi was our true friend, always helpful, sometimes stubborn :), and especially the one that made us laugh. He was the “mad” guy emptying 2 liters bottles on top of our heads when spirits were getting up, or throwing us out of the chair, just for the fun of others :). He was the one making us feel like a team.
Cristi knew to inspire and lead others . He managed to leave a deep mark on our hearts and souls, not by being perfect, but just by being Cristi. He left us after a stupid car accident in September 2006, leaving a huge void in the hearts of the people close to him.
You will be always in our dreams my friend,
Zeno.[1]
