Hey guys,It’s been a while. I’ve been involved in many things, traveled a lot and that’s why I couldn’t dedicate time for my writing :P. This concludes my excuses part of this post. The following might be boring for you … but I still want to record it … so skip to my next post :)As every year, in fall, every AIESEC LCs in Romania organizes a regional or local conference for preparation of our new members.
It’s been 5 years since we organize together with Cluj-Napoca and Targu-Mures the Local Training Seminar. We’ve been so successful so far that many of the other LCs are copying us. It was a somewhat relaxing time for me as I had only 1 session to prepare and facilitate a bit during the conference.
I’ve put up some amount of work and finally delivered a training called “My Personal Network”. It basically raised awareness on how to building and maintaining your personal network, providing also at the end some tools.
I think it went out OK considering that it was supposed to be held by 2 trainers. Due to a misunderstanding I had to deliver the whole training myself and had to redesign it as I was delivering it … was tough a cool feeling. Didn’t do it for some time now.
There were some problems regarding the cohesion of the LCs at the conference, but all went OK till the end. Stefan, Miruna and the whole facilitators team made a great contribution to the success of the conference. I had a good time and for the members the experience was very cool (so I’ve heard).
I think I wrote the greatest amount of sugar-cubes I ever wrote at a conference :)
It feels so good seeing the “kids” (our newies) grow, having fun, opening their minds to new experiences. I’m very proud of them and Roxi who was one of the people that contributed to the success of the recruitments this year.
I think what our newies need now is role-models, passion and some amount of hard work. In all of them lies high potential .. they just don’t know it yet ;)
In all I’ve had a great experience, spent time with friends from Cluj-Napoca and Targu Mures, delivered some sessions (one of my passions in AIESEC) and had some quality time at the parties.
I’m just waiting to get the Address Book …
PS: I don’t have any photos. Yet.
Cheers,
The Lion.
