Hielou!
Guess what? I’ve been to the beach :D. Of course there are several beaches in the Netherlands, but trust me, the concept of “Beach” (not B*tch) is very different than you might understand it. The wind is blowing with about 60Km per hour and it’s so cold that your a** freezes of. But for these guys … it’s summer! You rent a wind screen and crouch beneath it and wait for the sun to warm you up.
Ah, other ways to spend your time: In the tower you see in the picture is a Bungee Jumping facility :) … and guess what? I’m gonna use it! ASAP! [evil grin].
I’ve been in the top tower with Liv, she’s really small and the tower is in right in the sea. The wind was blowing at such a speed that it actually lifted you off. First time in my life where I had to fight hardly not to be blown away into the sea.
Also a sand sculpture exhibition took place on the beach. Here are some pictures.
That’s about it. They’ll going to lock me up :).

I know this comes a little bit late but I must write about it …
I had the great opportunity of watching Eurovision 2005 together with half of the AI Team. And of course I’m just as unimpressed as the last years. Commercial songs get to win the contest and the really good plays don’t make it even in the top 3. The greatest embarrassment was of course Romania. The song was more or less OK but the performance sucked BIG time. I don’t know why such shitty performers (and I’m not referring to Sistem) get chosen to represent us each year?!
And that wasn’t just it, they got the 3rd place!? How stupid can people be? Mrs. Luminita was singing notes that weren’t even in the song … shitty shitty shitty. I’m always telling myself I won’t watch this competition next year. God, I was so embarrassed!
And of course countries with really good songs like Malta, and Latvia barely made it to the top 5. Really stupid. After being all of us very disappointed we got to bed at about 2 AM … with a bitter taste in our mouths.
And now that I got “defrustrated” we can go on … till the next post :)

Hey!
Well it’s been a while but I had a long week …
Last week Mrs. Geta (Bioenergeta noastra) has been elected into the 05-06 AI team :D. Of course she was called, and Rajiv was the one that was pushed by Albert to bring on the news.
This phone call is intended to mislead you to think that you haven’t been elected. It’s done with all candidates and this time it started with:
“Hello this is Rajiv, from AIESEC International, can I speak to Geta please?”. When geta picked up, Rajiv started his best prank :D … he told her the usual stuff: that there were many candidates, that all of them were very skilled, blah, blah, blah and keep going and going. All the ppl in the office were gathered round the phone and laughing their ass off, trying hard not to uncover the prank. The hardest one was when Rajiv told her that candidates from the EU were more suitable because of the visa issues, that was the meanest thing.
Then, at the end: “And we just want to say to you good luck and that YOU HAVE BEEN ELECTEEEEEEEEEEEED! ” all screaming of course. Then Brodie picked up and said: “Geta welcome in the AI”. Nice. And the coolest thing: we have it all on tape ;).
When she arrived here, she said she was beginning to think about traineeship when Rajiv was telling her all the crap and when he got to the part with EU, she wanted to punch him in the face :D.
Very good actor Rajiv …
Over and out,

1.Saturday
We’ve been to a picnic at the Rotterdam Lake. I had my surprises tough. I keep running into people that I thought I’d never see again: At the picnic I’ve meet Minnie and Nuno Cruz. First words: “Heeeeey … there’s a friendly face! You’re from Romania, right?” :)
We had some food and afterwards we played soccer where of course I suck terribly… but I’ve haven’t played since high school, so I said: “Oh, what the heck let’s play”! I was the goalkeeper and did perform over my expectations. We’ve played with Albert, Pixi, Nuno Cruz, Cliff, Mo – she’s goooooooood! a guy from Mexico, another one from Estonia and other dutch members from Rotterdam or Dutch MC. My team kicked ass :D
Afterwards, Pixi lead us to a Hungarian Restaurant … lovely place. Luis, Albert and Gee played (or tried to play) the piano in the restaurant, we had some food, talks and when we finished we could barely move, so full were we. I loved that place!

Long time no see …
Introduction (you can skip this part) :)
I had a huge workload this 2 weeks, the AI E-mail server broke down and Kamil is in India … hmmm guess who was the one to fix it. It took 3 days and 1 night spent in the office and another 2 days of monitoring the server. Also as this wasn’t enough, some little fellow broke into the ULBS Web server (www.ubsibiu.ro), and we had to take it down and restore everything … it took 2 days and multiple Skype conferences with the team at home. I was running between those 2 things and all the other tasks I had to do in the office, so you can see why I haven’t been writing for a while.
Why?
Well I haven’t revealed you yet but Oana and Ase decided to visit us in this weekend. Oana was MCP in AIESEC Romania and now is on a traineeship with HP in France, Grenoble. Ase was Alumni Coordinator in AI and MCVP in Romania, and is currently in Bruxelles. AI was invaded with Romanians, 5 of us. :)
The Hague & Maurodam
We decided to go to Den Haag (The Hague) to see some parts of the City and Maurodam (a replica in miniature of the major sites in The Netherlands). We arrived there and because Luis said we can go by foot … we didn’t take the tram. Big mistake … it was like 1h of walking. Maurodam is very good replica of some buildings and sites. You should take a look at the site.
It seemed very small at the first look, but if you follow the tour it takes you about 3 hours to see it all.
The Hague was also a nice city but somehow very small comparing to the other cities here. We’ve seen also the Hague Palace and the International Justice Palace.
I’ve uploaded some pictures here! Sorry for the bad quality.
The Lion.
